ODM director of communications Philip Etale has sensationally claimed that the police are out to harm Cord leader Raila Odinga during the ongoing protests against the IEBC commissioners.
Speaking to Nation FM on Monday afternoon, Etale said; "the police fired live ammunition at Raila's car during the Monday protests in Nairobi."
He also added that the police were using excessive force against unarmed protesters.
Etale clarified that as the Opposition, they have no intention to wrest power from the government, but would do so at the ballot in 2017.
However, Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinett has since rubbished claims that police fired live bullets at Raila's car saying investigations are underway to unravel what hit the car's windscreen.
