The European observer mission has issued the Kenyan government four crucial demands that they want to be met before the October 17 repeat polls are conducted.
The observer spoke of their demands on Thursday after meeting with the stakeholders and the media, all this is in a bid to ensure that they issue credible reports after the polls.
The first thing the EU wants to be addressed is that the State should conduct thorough investigations and ensure that all the officers including IEBC staffs who bungled the August 8 polls are charged if found guilty before the polls are conducted.
Secondly, EU wants Kenyan authorities to support civil societies by giving them full freedom to participate in the electoral process.
Third, the observers want Kenyan government to provide accountability in the maintenance of public order which includes giving information about the deployment of security forces and also ensuring journalist are protected as they cover the polls.
Finally, tracing back on the brutal murder of the late IEBC director of ICT Chris Msando, the observers want proper security availed to all IEBC commissioners and staffs.
