European Union Trade Advisers have applauded Governor Hassan Joho’s government for embracing automated services.

Speaking at the County Secretary’s office during a meeting attended by Kenya Association of Manufacturers (KAM) heads and representatives, the team under the leadership of Alessandro Tonoli, said that they are ready to collaborate with investors and businessmen to ensure efficient service delivery in the region.

“The meeting has been an opportunity for us to know about what the County government is doing to improve the business and investment environment,” said Mr Tonoli, as quoted by Baraka FM.

Tonoli also said that different stakeholders had met in order to discuss current developments as well as plans by the county Government of Mombasa to create a conducive environment to promote investment in the area.

He noted that Mombasa and the entire nation have witnessed significant improvement in the past few years.

Chief Officer Trade, Investment, Energy and Industry Abdulwahab Mbarak, who spoke on behalf of the advisors, said that automation has eased the acquisition of business as well as construction permits.

The county government has created a website where investors and business oriented persons can get important information.
