The Kenyan government has received Sh198 million from the European Union as a refund for the troops currently in Somalia.
The money had been delayed for seven month due to verification.
According to documents seen by Nation, the money was deposited into treasury accounts in September with the remaining amount expected in February next year.
In a separate article by BBC, the payment for the 22, 000 Amison troops in Somalia were being held due to accounting issues.
Nearly 4,000 troops from Kenya are part of Amison and their funds are released through their specific governments.
The EU usually releases the funds once accounts from the previous payment are signed off.
