His four wheel drive was deregistered by KRA for tax evasion after it was registered as an Isuzu truck.

This comes after three suspects who are among the owners of the 121 vehicles impounded in June were charged with tax evasion.

The request was however denied by Magistrate Martha Mutuku said the amount involved has to be compiled with the conditions required for the Range Rover SUV to be released.

In his statement, Wamalwa's personal assistant blamed the error on KRA since it is their officials are the ones who processed the transfer of the logbook to Wamalwa.
