[Photo: KTN News]The European Union Election Observations Mission (EUEOM) has warned that there is a possibility of Kenya facing election violence in the August polls.The mission has called on all stakeholders to take responsibility of ensuring such incidents do not appear, and assure Kenyans of a peaceful election.EUEOM said it had a team of 30 long-term observers who had been deployed across the country since April this year and were keen on observing the political parties primaries.Another group of 32 short-term observers drawn from Switzerland, Norway and other EU member states countries including diplomatic troops are also in the country to witness the August 8 elections.Led by EU Election Observation Mission to Kenya, Ms Marietje Schaake, EOM Deputy Chief Observer, Ms Hannah Roberts, and EU Ambassador to Kenya, Stephano Dejak, the team said they will make public all its observations and recommendations to ensure their role is properly understood throughout the electioneering period.Addressing the press in Nairobi, Monday, they said they will be impartial and will not take sides and further urged Kenyans to desist from being used by politicians to cause violence.
