Lands Cabinet Secretary Jacob Kaimenyi has called on Jubilee supporters to turn out in large numbers to vote for President Uhuru Kenyatta on Thursday.

Speaking during a function in Meru County on Tuesday, Kaimenyi said local leaders had put measures in place to ensure those who are sick or disabled are ferried to polling stations.

"We urge those who have vehicles to ferry voters to polling centres so that everyone can vote. We are ready to offer our vehicles to transport the sick and disabled. We are appealing for selfless service by all residents to make the turnout better," he said, as quoted by the Standard.

The CS warned that critics will question Kenyatta's legitimacy if voters fail to give the President overwhelming support.

"Let's top up the over eight millions votes the Head of State got in the last elections to be more than ten million. We have a duty to make sure everybody votes on Thursday," Kaimenyi insisted.
