After another road accident claimed the lives of over 35 travellers at the dreaded Salgaa stretch, Kenyans have gone online to air their views.
Some claimed that the government was openly neglecting calls to have the road improved to avoid accidents in future.
Others, however, were of the view that the stretch was under the control of evil powers that were coming every time to claim blood from the living.
Meja Meja, an engineering student, said that the spate of misfortune had an underlying force of satanism that he attributed to a Jubilee supremo family member.
"As an Engineering student, i'm not allowed to be superstitious simply because we only expedite on facts. But look at this, She prayed for peaceful elections at Uhuru Park: we ended up losing 210 innocent Kenyans(children included). She called a crusade at Salgaa to pray for road accidents to end but we ended up losing 310 innocent Kenyans with majority of lives lost at the spot she knelt. Now i'm told she is in India for a family holiday trip, enjoying all of this? The worst accident that has ever happened at Salgaa is Rachel Ruto praying at that spot," he said.
Another user Andrew Okoit supported the 'dark forces' talk claiming that the accidents at the black spot have been rampant because rituals were not performed to earlier victims before.
"Amongst some Kenyan communities(i don't want to mention),spirits of the dead are ''taken back home'' some days after burrial. These helps to avoid more accidents like in areas like this one and to rest in peace the spirit of the deceased.Perhaps its time those who have lost their loved ones via salagaa accidents go to the place and ''take home'' the spirits of their loved ones for the sake of others," Okoit said.
"What's happening in Kenya is pretty traumatising. No one is happy loosing their loved ones. Death toll in December only rising to more than 200 people!! God help us. Innocent people are dying. Families are mourning. May God protect us," said Jared Destiny.

"Oh God Not again! Are there spirits hovering along Salgaa road? Christians should talk boldly concerning these, questions linger; is it the government, the drivers, the road itself, faulty vehicles or the spirits or the madness of the drivers who drink and drive and why specifically Salgaa?"

"Another 36 people dead in horror accident at Salgaa. What a sad way to end the year for families and friends? For Kenya? And instead of pushing for the construction of a dual carriageway from Nairobi to Malaba our MPs are awarding themselves 2Billion in car grants! For now this Salgaa Road should be avoided. Let's use the Ravine Kabarak Road!!!
