Mr Opore on Tuesday speaking at Suneka area said he does not know how Sungu Sungu operate.

"My political opponents are out to taint my name that during my tenure I was paying Sungu Sungu gang group to terrorize those who didn't support me. I wish to clarify that I don't even know how the group operate and who sponsors them," he said.

The soft-spoken politician said in his 15 years of leadership he was committed to ending crime in the region.

"I have always fought crime in Bonchari. Security was tight all over despite the minor cases that were being reported but I am sure the small cases were being planned my political enemies to frustrate me," he added.

He said he will sue anyone who drags him to outlawed groups.

"I wish to advise members of the public that I will take a legal action to whoever who drags me to gang groups. Sungu Sungu remains to be an outlawed group in Bonchari and my appeal to police is that they beef up security to flush out the Sungu Sungu criminals," said Opore.
