Kisii Senator Sam Ongeri says President Uhuru Kenyatta will lose by a wider margin in the presidential report poll scheduled October.
In a swipe targeting Uhuru’s continuous attacks on the Chief Justice David Maraga, Ongeri further insisted that opposition leader Raila Odinga will score over 90 percent from Gusii.
The win by Odinga, he said, will be fundamental to the community given the former Prime Minister’s superb record in the region when he served as Roads minister.
“I want to guarantee you that Uhuru has never beaten Odinga and I don’t see that coming. Kenyans are tired with Jubilee.
“For instance, he will score little in Gusii than what he got in August. Negatively targeting our community will further ruin him,” he said.
At Keroka town, Ongeri led a host of Gusii leaders in a homecoming ceremony following the release of dozens of youths who had been arrested for reportedly burying Uhuru’s effigy.
Prior to his defection to ODM, Ongeri was a key player for Jubilee and was even rewarded an ambassadorial position by Jubilee administration.
