Former Finance Director of the Kenya Airways, Alex Mbugua was on Wednesday blocked from accessing the carrier's head office at The Pride Centre in Embakasi.
Mbugua had reported to work at 8.30 in the morning as was yesterday ordered by the Labour Court.
Instead, he was served with a compulsory leave letter.
According to the Business Daily, the former finance officer said that he had been blocked from accessing the employees' parking lot and was instead directed to wait at the security bay.
"Upon arriving at the Pride Centre, I was blocked from accessing the employees' parking area or walking to my office. I was instead directed to wait at the security bay," Mbugua said as quoted by The Business Daily.
He added that it was while he was waiting in the security bay when he was served with a letter requesting him to stay away for three weeks.
"The airline security manager then handed me a letter instructing me to immediately proceed to forced leave for 21 days," Mbugua added.
The Labour Court on Tuesday had directed that Mr. Mbugua reports to work and his employer pays him all the dues owed to him in 30 days.
"The claimant is hereby reinstated to his position without loss of benefits and any lawful entitlement to be paid within 30 days," Lady Justice Mbaru of The Labour Court directed.
Mr. Mbugua had been fighting for his job in court for the last 22 months when he was laid off on claims of underperformance.
