A witness on Monday told a Kiambu Court that a former MCA had threatened to kill a man he was suspecting to be having an affair with his wife.
In the case, Former Riruta MCA Samwel Ndung’u is being accused of allegedly being involved in the killing of his 24-year-old wife, Lucy Njambi.
A witness, Lydia Nduta told the court that the accused person threatened to kill his son, Mr Samwel Kiiru, whom he suspected to be having an affair with his wife.
Nduta told the court that Mr Ndung’u had sent threatening text messages to his 22-year-old son and the matter was reported at Gatundu Police Station where Ndung’u was summoned.
After the meeting with the officers at Gatundu police station, Ms Nduta said the accused told her son that he will kill him even if he will be jailed.
Njambi had been living in a rented apartment with her four-year-old son for a month after moving out of her husband’s house in Lavington following a family dispute.
Ndung’u was being accused that on January 24, 2017 he was involved in the killing of his wife, Ms Njambi at Kiambu Sub County.
The wife was abducted by a gang of men and later found at Kamiti Corner seriously injured and she was taken to Kiambu Hospital before being referred to Kenyatta National Hospital, where she died.
Ms Njambi was reported to have been raped and later doused with acid by a gang of three who had picked her up from her home in Thindigua estate in Kiambu town.
