Raila has been under pressure from his co-principal Moses Wetangula to back him on claims that he may lose again to Jubilee in the August 2017 polls.

And on Monday, former Kitutu Masaba MP Abuya Abuya ruled out possibilities of Raila backing a different candidate saying ‘nothing is met without struggle’, and insisted that it was a Jubilee scheme to thwart his presidential ambitions.

“I want to maintain that there's no worthy candidate Raila can support for the presidency other than himself. The other candidates are simply slumbering and they should know nothing is gotten on a silver platter,” he said.

The former member of the 'seven bearded sisters' added: “calls to have him supporting another candidate is purely a Jubilee scheme so that they get a walk-over in the 2017 polls. He should concentrate on stregthnening his campaigns rather than being dragged behind.”

Abuya also challenged the ODM officials across the country to revamp the party by encouraging more people to register in its traditional strongholds to avoid garnering less in their vote-rich areas.
