Former Mwingi Central MP Joe Mutambu Former Mwingi Central MP Joe Mutambu has moved to court seeking to be declared bankrupt.
According to The Star, the politician, through his company United Credit Limited wants the court to grant him the wish after he lost his seat during the August General elections.
The court ruled that the case of the politician will be heard in December after he defected from Wiper to Jubilee but he was defeated. The court requested anyone who is opposing the application should present himself before the court ahead of the hearing.
“Anyone opposed or supporting the application is required to appear before during the hearing either personally or through an attorney, “he said, as quoted by the local daily.
Mutambo was surrounded with various controversies for the one term he was an area member of parliament.
He hit the headlines after Bishop Thomas Wahome of Helicopter Church took him to court for allegedly assaulting him.
The complaint alleged that the former MP locked him in his Ngong office after he went there to reclaim a lorry that he had allegedly hire to the Jubilee politician.
He was also arraigned in court after he allegedly assaulted Kitui Governor Dr. Julius Malombe’s political advisor after they differed.
