Immediate former Balambala Member of Parliament Abdikadir Aden has vowed to rally the entire Northern Kenya to vote for Opposition coalition NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga during the forthcoming repeat polls.

Speaking in Garissa, the ex-lawmaker called on the residents to back the former Prime Minister, observing that the Somali community stands to benefit more if the Opposition chief wins the presidency.

He further asserted that the region was solidly a NASA-stronghold, deceived to vote for the Jubilee Party during the August 8 polls.

"We are going to work day and night to make sure that Raila clinches all the North Eastern votes in the repeat poll," he said.

The ODM party National Organizing Secretary also took a swipe on the Jubilee administration, accusing President Uhuru Kenyatta of failing to initiate meaningful development in the area during his tenure in office.

Electoral agency IEBC has since slated the repeat polls for October 26.
