Former Legislative Council member Benson Kegoro believes opposition leader Raila Odinga has real chances of winning 2017 polls.
Kegoro, a longtime ally of Kenya’s first Vice President Jaramogi Oginga Odinga and a veteran councilor on Sunday urged Kenyans to prepare for Raila presidency.
The veteran leader who was speaking during the burial of his wife Peris Kegoro added that Jubilee government had failed to meet the expectations of Kenyans.
“I worked with your father before independence and I know your family means good for the country. I urge Kenyans to prepare for your presidency because it’s coming,” said Kegoro in presence of Odinga and his brother Oburu Oginga.
“Jubilee has failed to deliver on its promises and all we are hearing is grand theft of public resources. We can only save this nation if we make right decisions and that involves voting my son (Raila),” added Kegoro.
Kegoro served as representative of Kisii North at the Legislative Council before independence and later on served in various capacities among them councilor for Bosamaro ward for over two decades.
