Former Tana River governor Hussein Dado has asked Coast region to turn up in their numbers on Thursday to reelect President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Speaking on Monday, the former County chief asked Coast residents to defy calls by NASA leaders to boycott the presidential repeat polls.
He noted that the government has affirmed that every Kenyan who wishes to participate in the elections will be guaranteed their security.
"Security personnel have assured enough security. Raila is still in the ballot. Jubilee Party may be surprised as this could be one of his tricks," he remarked.
Dado further warned a section of Coast leaders against pushing for the secession of the region from the rest of the country.
"No county will be separated. Those calling for secession are drawing the red line; it is treason as the country is a sovereign state with 47 counties," he stated.
