The Budalang’i MP cut links with his former boss Raila Odinga and has since endorsed reelection of Kenyatta through his Labour Party of Kenya.

With Jubilee keen to penetrate in a region perceived to be an ODM stronghold, Kenyatta opted to take the vibrant legislator along with him in a region he understands better.

But in Butula, angry voters failed to acknowledge the presence of Namwamba and labeled him a ‘betrayer’ perhaps in reference to his unceremonious exit from ODM.

Realizing the danger he’d exposed the MP to, Kenyatta continued with his speech and urged locals to vote Jubilee government.

“There is a difference between Jubilee and our competitors. We have set various development projects across the country and those with eyes can see,” Uhuru said.

He added: “I believe that with five more years, the country will pick up and we shall be the biggest economy in Africa.”

Jubilee leadership has for the past week pitched tent in former Western and Rift Valley provinces to woo voters.
