Jubilee youth leader Antony Kibagendi will be carrying the parties mantle in an election slated this November at Kitutu Chache South constituency.

Following the death of former flag bearer Leonard Mwamba, electoral body IEBC postponed elections in accordance to the law.

And the Jubilee team will now be banking on Kibagendi, a former staunch supporter of ODM leader Raila Odinga.

Before bolting out of the orange party, Kibagendi accused Governor James Ongwae of Kisii or allegedly orchestrating his defeat in party primaries where Sam Omwando won.

During the presidential campaigns, Jubilee team worked closely with Kibagendi who managed to deliver for President Uhuru Kenyatta in both Kisii and Nyamira Counties.

He is expected to face incumbent Richard Onyonka of Ford Kenya and Omwando, who will be carrying ODM flag.

Out of the 13 parliamentary seats in Gusii region, Jubilee managed to scoop four seats while ODM failed to live to its expectations.
