Former Vihiga governor Rev. Moses Epainitus Akaranga failed to appear on President Uhuru Kenyatta's cabinet appointments.

The self proclaimed reformist minister whose supporters have been confident of his reemergence to the Cabinet, had been lobbying for the Ministry of Lands and Housing in the Jubilee government after he lost his gubernatorial seat to Dr. Wilberforce Ottichilo in the August 8, 2017 polls.

Speaking at State House, Kenyatta on Friday nominated several cabinet secretaries to several positions.

Reports said Akaranga who jumped ship and campaigned for Jubilee party in the County during 2017 elections, now seeks state corporation job after being locked out of the cabinet.

Before August 8, 2017 general elections, the former county boss appeared in several opposition's NASA coalition campaign rallies and pledged to support Raila Odinga presidency, before jumping ship to Jubilee after losing to ANC party's Otichillo.

Akaranga, the Progressive Party of Kenya - PPK leader promised to deliver plenty of votes to Kenyatta during presidential election.
