K'Oyoo defeated his rival Ayiecho Olweny by garnering 18,669 votes while Olweny got 6,648 votes.
In the third position was Patrick Obora who managed to get 3,420 votes.
The Muhoroni legislator, who was elected on People's Democratic Party (PDP) in 2013, was declared the ODM nominee by the Returning Officer Peter Otiang'a at Chemelil complex, Wednesday.
He appreciated the residents of the constituency for giving him a chance to fly the ODM ticket in the forthcoming August polls.
"I am happy that I have won the ticket despite various challenges during nominations," K’Oyoo said.
