Veteran politician Simon Nyachae will remain hospitalised in London, weeks after he was admitted, a family source has said.
The former presidential candidate was first admitted in Nairobi Hospital before he was flown out of the country after days in ICU.
And according to the impeccable source, doctors are trying to stabilise the health of the 86-year-old who is suffering from chest pains.
"He remains admitted for now and his health has not really improved. He is still in the ICU," said the source, adding that only family members are allowed to visit him.
"We hope things will now be better and we shall have him out soon. It is the first time he has been hospitalised for that long," he added.
In 2016, social media users speculated his death only for the family to issue a statement that dismissed the claims.
During the 2002 elections, Nyachae emerged third after Uhuru Kenyatta and the eventual winner Mwai Kibaki in the presidential polls.
