More than 200 children at Arap Moi children’s home in Nakuru town have received food donation worth Sh50,000 from retired Kenya Defence Forces officers residing in Nakuru county.

The ex-officers led by retired colonel Eliud Gachoka urged Kenyans to remember the less fortunate in society particularly children during this festive season.

“This season let us share what we have with those who don’t have. Our donation is meant to celebrate the lives of the children who have no families or those can’t afford to buy food,” he stated.

He challenged Nakuru county government to come up with a program where food stuffs among other things should be issued to children homes within the county to support them.

Gachoka appealed to well wishers and sponsors to support children homes saying the children derserve to live a better live despite that they are at the children homes.
