Fresh details about the dramatic scenes at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport on Monday can be revealed even as lawyer Miguna Miguna languishes in Dubai.
For over 6 hours, the estranged lawyer is said to have harassed and intimidated immigration officials before the arrival of his legal team under James orengo.
And when the matter got out of hand, a source says, a distressed Raila Odinga rushed to the busy airport to establish why Miguna was being held.
"Miguna embarrassed Raila. His lawyers tried to persuade him to surrender his passport for stamping but all in vain," said the source.
He further said: "Immigration officers asked him to give the passport to Raila for stamping if he was afraid of confiscation but he still refused."
According to him, a distressed Raila tried to plead with him to comply and give his lawyers easier time to deal with the matter in court.
But moments later, heavily armed police officers whisked Miguna away in Raila's presence, a move that has subjected the latter to social media outburst.
