Self proclaimed Tanga Tanga movement founder Sylvanus Osoro sensationally claims that the phone of one of Fly 540 pilot was online until midnight on Tuesday.
The aircraft went missing around 5pm with 10 people on board and KWS crew has since traced its signals at Kinangop in Abadares.
On his Facebook account, the South Mugirango MP, says he is a personal friend to pilot Barbra Kamau, who is among those missing.
"Waking up to news that the pilot flying the lost aircraft is my friend Barbra Kamau. She is one of focused pilot. She has flown me severally in different aircraft and I mostly opt for her.
"Her number was going through until midnight but she is off today. I hope and believe she is safe. My morning is turning to be scary," he said.
Three of those on board are said to be nationals from the Caribbean with the rest said to be Kenyans.
Earlier in the morning, Osoro, who is Deputy President William Ruto's Gusii region point-man, denied claims that he was on board.
