Despite denying reports that he could be a beneficiary in President Uhuru Kenyatta's impending cabinet reshuffle, Raila Odinga's allies could after all be appointed.
In his statement, Raila denied claims that his allies could be appointment o cabinet when Uhuru sacks a number of Cabinet Secretaries implicated in various corruption scandals.
"Mr. Odinga takes great exceptions to this attempt by Standard newspaper to use his name to provide refuge to the corrupt by implying that crackdown on graft is merely an attempt by him to take his people into government."
The investigations by the Standard indicates that besides positions in cabinet, Odinga's allies could also be beneficiaries to a number of other parastatal appointments.
And a source at Orange House now says Nyamira County could be the chief beneficiary as two of Raila's allies could be considered for the top job.
"I am pretty sure that Timothy Bosire is likely to make it to Cabinet as either full minister or CAS. He will be joined by Jones Omwenga," said the source.
While Bosire, who lost in Kitutu Masaba seat to Shadrack Mose is the ODM treasurer, Omwenga,a former minister in Nyamira County, was in NASA secretariat.
In a telephone call, Omwenga could neither deny nor admit that he could be fronted for top post.
