All rooms were ransacked; everything was scattered on the floor with the drawers and wardrobes flung open giving the impression that the thugs were looking for something in particular.

A well-manicured artificial nail was found in one of the washrooms, fueling speculation that a woman might have been involved in the operation.

The door of an adjacent apartment was also breached.

A television set was stolen in that adjacent apartment according to a man who takes care of it.

''I inserted the key in the lock but it would not move. It is then that marks on the door caught my door, occurring to me that the door had been breached and there must have been a forceful entry. I pushed the door and it flung open. What I saw got my adrenaline pumping; everything was in a state of total disarray. The sofas had been moved from their usual positions and their cushions on the floor, the drawers and wardrobes were flung open with their contents spilled to the floor,. I alerted the guards on duty and placed a call to the office manager Naomi Gathoni who gave me instructions on what to do'' Shem Beverton Mukalo, a Hivisasa editor told investigators.

The nail was discovered by Ken Kahura, an employee of Hivisasa, who alerted the investigators.

The break-in has already been reported to the police and investigations launched to determine the identities of the culprits.

CCTV footage that captured the goings and comings of the day might offer leads into the break-in.

Sugar, a tin of coffee, and an old laptop, and a laptop charger were reported missing.

''The matter has already been reported to the police so that investigations can begin. A packet of sugar, tin of coffee, a laptop, and a laptop charger were stolen,'' Ken Kahura told Hivisasa.

This is the third time that Hivisasa has suffered a break-in.

In a previous attack on Hivisasa, a number of laptops were stolen.
