Pop Icon Madonna is in the country to explore programs that have a transformative impact on vulnerable groups, especially women and children.
And as is usual for every other notable ‘jungu’ visiting the country, the icon whose full name is Madonna Louise Ciccone managed to visit some places in the country to ‘sight see’.
Madonna has expressed willingness to partner with the First Lady’s Beyond Zero initiative on improving maternal and child health programmes and other initiatives against gender violence.
She met First Lady Margaret Kenyatta at State House on Monday after visiting Kibera and meeting Mama Sofie who has reportedly overcome many odds while raising 14 children in a 10 by 10 foot room.
Afterwards, Madonna tweeted from Samburu saying, “With the Samburu tribe in the Kikuyu valley! 🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪 Kenya!.”
Kenyans on Twitter (KOT) have picked that and are running with it asking weird and rhetorical questions as to who knows where Kikuyu Valley is.
My answer, ‘Pia mimi sijui’.
