Likoni MP-elect Mishi Mboko has asked her Jubilee counterparts to expect fireworks in the National Assembly.

Speaking to journalists in Mombasa on Wednesday, Mboko said opposition MPs are not afraid of Jubilee’s tyranny of numbers, adding that they will not allow Jubilee MPs to undermine and frustrate the interests of Kenyans.Mboko said opposition MPs will safeguard the interests of Kenyans fearlessly despite being the minority in the House.The outgoing Mombasa Woman Representative said Jubilee MPs should prepare for a hard time “if they think they will use their numbers to rubber stamp Bills”.“We know that we are the minority in terms of numbers in the National Assembly but that does not mean that we will watch as our colleagues rubber stamp Bills that do not represent the interests of the Kenyan people,” said Mboko ass quoted by the People Daily.She assured Kenyans that NASA MPs will be active and ensure the voices of the common mwananchi are heard.Mboko promised to represent the interests of Likoni residents through proper legislation and pushing for policies that will create job opportunities and empower residents.The MP-elects are expected to be sworn in on August 22, 2017 and consequently elect their speaker, deputy speaker, leader of majority and minority among other positions.
