The weatherman has said North Eastern counties will continue to receive rainfall as the Easter holiday starts.
Kenya Meteorological Department Director Peter Ambenje said that Garissa, Marsabit, Mandera, Wajir, and Isiolo counties will have rains over several places on Friday and the weekend.
Mr. Ambenje said Mandera county will on Saturday experience heavy rainfall while the other counties in the Northern region will experience afternoon showers during the weekend.
The weatherman said there will be a significant reduction in rainfall amounts between Saturday and Sunday followed by an increase on Monday.
“Wet conditions will be sustained over most parts of the country with the Eastern half expected to be wetter than the Western half during the forecast period,” Mr. Ambenje said as quoted by the Daily Nation.
North western counties of Turkana, West Pokot and Samburu will experience sunny intervals both in the morning and afternoon throughout the forecast period of March 27 and April 2.
South Nyanza and South Rift will experience heavy rainfall while counties such as Siaya, Kisumu, Trans Nzoia, Baringo, Uasin Gishu, Elgeyo-Marakwet, Nandi, Laikipia, Nakuru, Narok, Kajiado, Kakamega, Vihiga, Bungoma and Busia will have sunny conditions.
