Expectant and nursing mothers at Thika Level Five Hospital have lauded Kiambu Governor for health care and hygiene improvement in the maternity block.
Speaking to some of the mothers on Monday morning, expectant mothers are getting the very best from the doctors and nurses attending them in the wards.
“The hospital has really changed and we are proud of the services they are now offering to us and our kids,”said Martha Kinyua a mother who had delivered a baby boy in the same ward.
“I did not expect to get such services. I delivered my first child here and things were so different by that time, from the cruelty of doctors to unhygienic wards. Iam now proud and know that I will deliver the kid safely, “said Monicha Kamau an expectant mother.
“I have been attending my clinics here and I can assure you that this is the best hospital I have seen for now’”said Alice Mwende.
“We are now not afraid of attending this hospital because things have changed.Nurses and doctors are so friendly,”said Wamaitha Josphene.
Nurses can now be seen in and out of the ward attending to patients and assisting the weak mothers in delivery process.
Speaking to one of the nurses, Alice Ngina said that the delivery process have been made easy and but the only problem is insufficient beds which the county government is working upon to see that the new maternity built by Kiambu ex-governor is opened and operating as usual.
“I came here last year and I can witness to you that things are not the same again. There is so much improvements in the maternity wards and the entire hospital as well.
The only issue at hand is insufficient beds which the county government is working upon to see that the new maternity over there is opened and operating, “said Ngina.
