A section of MPs from Deputy President William Ruto's Rift Valley backyard are now plotting an all-out political battle against President Uhuru Kenyatta's 'kitchen cabinet' whom they accuse of derailing the former's ambition, reports the Sunday Nation.
If actualised, the plot may signal an implosion in Jubilee, ending the marriage just one year into Uhuru's reelection.
Multiple interviews by the paper indicate that those agitated may soon come own and speak on what they know about war against graft.
The politicians feel that Uhuru and his team are hiding in war against graft by focusing in the energy ministry, which is headed by Ruto's allies to make him look corrupt.
"You can clearly see that some of these actions follow a predictable pattern. We may have chosen to remain silent for now but soon our gloves will be out," said one of the MPs.
Nandi senator Simon Cherargei was even clearer when he said that he will summon the DPP to shade light on the ongoing graft war.
"War on graft ought to be done in good faith. That is what we expect. It should not be informed by succession politics," he said.
Among the Energy ministry cooperation sunder investigations are Kenya Pipeline and Kenya Power, both chaired by Ruto's close allies.
The MPs believe that he silent war against the DP is being handled by 'faceless people' who may not be necessarily in government.
