And after the plight of Mzee Kimitei Kiplagat was raised following the lost of his regalia, the handlers deposited it on Saturday at a local chief in Eldama Ravine.

Jonah Talaam, who was in possession of the regalia, said it was used for coronation of Ruto and subsequently taken without his permission.

"It happened, the regalia was used while performing a cultural dance I had it but was approached by some people who asked to have it to coronate the DP.

"I later asked where it was and was told to keep silent. I was shocked and I have never been well since then," said Talaam when he received the regalia.

He had borrowed it from Kimitei several months ago and was put to task to explain where he issued it for coronation without the owner's consent.

The 93-year-old octogenarian was however relieved following the decision by Ruto to return his regalia and insisted that he will always issue it out for such actitivities.
