ODM leader Raila Odinga grabbed lawyer Miguna Miguna's hands and tried to escort him out of Jomo Kenyatta International Airport before his second deportation, reports the Sunday Nation.
A war of words between the two leaders has escalated with Miguna claiming that Raila had come to suprvise his deportation.
"What Raila is saying is invented facts. By the time he was coming, they had booked a Dubai flight for me. In fact, he had come to supervise my deportation," Miguna said.
For weeks now, a section of ODM supporters have accused Raila of doing 'too little' to rescue Miguna Miguna from his second deportation.
But at Kings College last week, Raila also termed Miguna as 'his own' enemy adding that he had failed to comply with simple immigration rules.
"When I went to the Airport, I found Miguna with his lawyers. I grabbed his hand and came out with him. But as we went, they closed the door.
"They (police) told me they were under instructions. I asked Miguna to handover passport for stamping but he told me he had only the national ID card," recalled Raila.
But Miguna has dismissed Raila's claims adding that they are insincere since he knew that he had his passport confiscated by authorities.
And in his parting shot, Raila advised Miguna to take his travel papers to Ottawa in Kenya's embassy for approval.
