[Photo| Ezekiel Mutua/Facebook]The Kenya Film Classification Board (KFCB) CEO Ezekiel Mutua has hit out at a section of employers over clearance certificates they ask during job interviews. Mutua who took to his Facebook page on Sunday, said it was wrong for the employers to request fresh job seekers to have the clearance certificates.Though the KFCB boss noted that he was also asked to produce the clearance documents when he was applying for a job, he insisted that he does not approve of the job owners to request them. "It's morally wrong to require of a job seeker to have clearance certificates from HELB, KRA, CERTIFICATE OF GOOD CONDUCT, CREDIT BUREAU etc. I had to get all these certificates myself when I was applying for PS and CEO posts but I do not approve of them being required of fresh job seekers," wrote Mutua. He added, "They should be limited to senior posts that are governed by the dictates of Chapter Six on Leadership and Integrity but not of fresh university graduates."The clearance certificates are usually acquired at a cost. "As CEO I will never ask a fresh graduate to produce such when seeking for a job in my organisation. Let's stop oppressing the oppressed!" Mutua noted.
