KFCB CEO Ezekiel Mutua on Monday said leaders of such groups will be arrested and prosecuted since gayism and lesbianism is illegal in Kenya.

"We cannot live in a country where people wake up and make decisions that are contrary to the law," Mutua said while addressing journalists in the Coastal town.

"Kenya has more gay and lesbians than South Africa despite gayism and lesbianism being legal there. KFCB will do everything at its disposal to contain these organisations," he added.

Coast region, he said, has more gays and lesbians because of the flourishing tourism industry.

Mutua argued that some of the tourists who jet to the region are promoters of gay and lesbian acts.

"The law is clear that gayism and lesbianism are illegal," Mutua said.

"Despite criminalization of homosexuality the practice has continued, but we will not get tired of fighting against it," he added.

He said KFCB is initiating proposals to introduce more stringent measures to deal with the illegal practice which he said has been introduced to Kenyan schools.

He said unless the practice is contained youth in Kenya may face a scenario where they will not bear children.
