Yes, despite the fact that many people don’t get to that age, the Zuckerberg’s believe that a child born today can easily hit that milestone.

To make this possible, the family through its Chan-Zuckerberg Initiative, will spend $3 Billion to cure diseases.

In an announcement made on Wednesday, the Zuckerberg’s said that they would invest at least $3 billion over the next decade towards preventing, curing or managing all diseases by the end of the century.

Dr Chan said, "We want to dramatically improve every life in Max's generation and make sure we don't miss a single soul."

The initiative is meant to support scientists cure, prevent or manage all diseases within “our children's lifetime.”

Zuckerberg’s wife is a trained paediatrician which explains the interest in making children survive infancy and grow into adulthood healthy.

The social networking site founder said the initiative could increase human life expectancy up to 100 years.

He pointed out that this did not mean 100% disease-free generation.

"That doesn't mean no one will ever get sick, but they should be able to treat it and manage it," he said.

The Chan-Zuckerberg Initiative is a limited liability company declared on December 1, 2015. The Zuckerberg’s founded it with their daughter Maxima Chan Zuckerberg being the reason.

At the time, the Zuckerberg’s said they would give 99 percent of Facebook shares to charitable causes.
