Intelligence reports have indicated that security apparatus foiled a planned terror attack that was planned for 15th of February and which targeted the Supreme Court of Kenya.

According to the reports, the terrorists planned for the attack with the help of Kenyan individuals, who helped them with logistical plans. 

Some of the culprits who have since been arrested were based in based in Nairobi and helped the terrorists acquire IDs and other items they needed.

Abdimajit Hassan

He is the lead suspect who; Acquired the vehicles used and searched for safe houses. He also aided the movement of the explosive-laden vehicles from Somalia all the way to Kenya.

Mohamed Nane

His main work was to facilitate the movement of the explosive-laden vehicle and coordinate with the lead suspect, whom they were arrested together with. 

Anthony Kitila

He is a taxi driver in Nairobi and is said to have been a close confidant of the lead suspect. They were spotted together on several occasions and were even seen at a party together. 

John Kiarie

He helped the lead suspect acquire forged ID cards. He is said to have connected the lead suspect to a lady who helped him forge the four IDs at a cost of Sh170,000. He said to he kept Sh10,000 as facilitation fees.

Lydia Nyawira

The lady is said to have been working as a secretary at a printing firm and is said to have helped them procure the forged IDs. 

She, however, claims she receives only Sh4,000 for the IDs.The four suspects will appear in court on Thursday.
