1. Campaigns

One's campaign strategy is what drives them to where they want to be. For the case of 2022 presidential contestants, the nature of their campaigns is what will earn them an advantage over the others. An example of a good campaign strategy is traversing all parts of Kenya despite tribal hostility. Making sacrifices and showing Kenyans at large that you are indeed capable of leading them rightfully.

2. Manifesto

The manifesto is the most key tool a politician uses to win over their competitors. For 2022, the contestants should ensure that what they have in their manifesto is what determines fate. The greater your manifesto, the higher your chances of winning. However, having a good manifesto won't take you anywhere unless you show it off to the voters.

3. Money and resources

These are closely related to campaigns. A contestant has to have enough money and resources to aid their campaigns. Moving from Mombasa to Kakamega then to Mandera to Kisii won't take anything different from money. Campaigners on the ground are also part of the resources and strategy one needs for the 2022 presidential race.

4. Personality and character

The 2022 presidential contestants should also have it in mind that their personality, what they are known for is what will determine their fate in the elections. The voters will list down whatever you are capable or incapable of doing whether good or bad, weigh them and make their decisions. Just like in a job application, your personality is way much greater than your CV.

5. Demographics

A candidate’s appeal to the youth could give an advantage. The youth are the people politicians target in the Kenyan politics today. They hold a lot in the country and are the largest in population. The greater the appeal to them, the wider the path to presidency come 2022.

6. Voter turnout

This requires campaigns of its own. Going out there and urging people to participate in the voting process. Holding conferences on voter education and the importance of voting. Many politicians do this but sometimes things turn out bad. At this particular time, a good number of Kenyans see no need to vote maybe because of past experiences.

In conclusion, it, therefore, lies upon the contestants to make efforts on perfecting on the above-listed factors should they be determined to emerge the winners of the forthcoming general elections.
