Mavoko MP Patrick Makau King'ola is among vocal Kamba politicians.
Makau is also a close ally of Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka.
The second time lawmaker is, however, a critic of Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua.
Makau has been criticizing Mutua often, accusing him of abandoning his duties and focusing on his 2022 presidential bid's campaigns.

1. Banker
Makau is a banker by profession and has a wealth of experience in banking having worked for the Standard Chartered Bank, among others.
Makau resigned as a banker in 2002 to join active politics.
2. Councilor
Makau was elected as the Athi River Councillor in 2002.
3. Former Mayor
The Wiper MP was elected Mavoko Mayor in the 2007 general election.
He served as Mavoko Mayor until 2011 when he resigned and declared a bid for the Mavoko parliamentary seat in the 2013 general election.
4. Mavoko MP - 2013
Makau was elected Mavoko MP in 2013 general election on Wiper Party ticket.
In 2017, Makau won re-election contesting on a Wiper Party ticket.
He faced stiff competition from former Kibwezi MP Kalembe Ndile.
4. Family
Makau is married and has children.
The Wiper MP is also a staunch Christian.
Makau has, however, found himself in trouble several times.
In 2013, Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua petitioned the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) to investigate the MP over alleged land grabbing.
Mutua claimed that Makau had allegedly grabbed massive land when he served as Mavoko Mayor.
The MP, however, dismissed Mutua's allegations terming them as malicious politics.
In March this year, Makau was ejected from Parliament when he sat on Majority leader John Mbadi's seat.
Makau had defied speaker Justin Muturi's order to vacate the seat.
The Wiper MP argued that ODM should relinquish its parliamentary positions after their party leader Raila Odinga met with President Uhuru Kenyatta and agreed to work together.
He argued that ODM had joined Jubilee Party by virtue of Raila's handshake with President Kenyatta.
