Such agreements do not work in politics," Junet said on Thursday. The NASA MP reminded them that  false political promises was what happened to Raila Odinga in 2002 general election when he agreed to back the then National Rainbow Coalition (NARC) led by retired President Mwai Kibaki."It is in the history that Raila supported President Mwai Kibaki in 2002 but the Central Kenya people did not keep their word," Junet said.He was refering to the agreement that within the first 100 days after Kibaki took power the Constitution was to be ammended to create the position of powerful Prime Minister to be occupied by Raila, an agreement that never materialised.Junet said the only way Ruto could inherit Uhuru's seat was by working with his former ally, Raila."The only true promise is what Raila is promising Ruto now," he said, following opposition leader's invitation to the DP to work with him in order to ascend to the presidency. The two were speaking yesterday during a burial of an ODM official at Kipkelion.
