Speaking in Matuu town, the chairperson of the NGO, Alphonse Munyoki said it was a project that was initiated to ensure that the less fortunate in the County don’t lack the basic necessities.

“I am deeply saddened by the fact that the less fortunate in our society lack basic necessities like food, clothing and others don’t have a home,” said Munyoki.

“This is why CHEDA has come up with this project to award the families taking care of the children with different machines that can be used to help in earning more money and faming to feed the children,” added Munyoki.

The charity work also included giving the ladies in those families’ machines to start saloon businesses, including dryers and blow-dry, with men receiving efficient pressure pumps for car wash businesses.

“We appreciate the parents who have taken in the orphans in their homes and this machines will boost their efforts more,” he added.

The chairman urged the residents that had received the machines to use them effectively, and urged other well-wishers to help support the disadvantaged in the society.
