Students with disability in Uasin Gishu County have a sigh of relief after Family Bank built a special class at Sosiani Primary School in Eldoret town for them.

Family Bank Chief Executive Officer David Thuku said the class will help the disabled students from the region pursue their education.

"It is sad that some parents are still discriminating children living with disability. This facility will help them access education just like their normal counterparts," he said in Eldoret town, Saturday after launching the class.

"I call upon parents with disable children to their children to this facility for them to be assisted. Let them access education just like their normal counterparts since disability is not inability," he added.

He revealed that they will partner with other stakeholders to ensure the school is well equipped with modern facilities and trained teachers. "It is the constitutional right for every child including the disable access education, health and other basic needs. There are also funds from the county and national governments that can help them pursues their education, therefore no need to hide them," noted Thuku.
