A family from Pipeline in Nakuru county is crying for justice after their daughter was killed in a domestic quarrel.
33-year-old Emmah Mugure is said to have been killed on Saturday at her matrimonial home in Murunyu, Bahati.
According to Stephen Macharia, who is brother to the deceased, her sister was married to John Mwangi and blessed with two children. They lived in their Murunyu home.
Macharia said his sister died out of injuries inflicted by the husband.
The family is also accusing the police of tampering with evidence once the body was collected from the scene.
“The whole community is aware that the late succumbed to injuries sustained from her husband and therefore it is surprising for police to say they have no evidence to enable them arraign the suspect in court,” he said.
A post-mortem report showed the deceased was hit with a blunt object on the head.
Our attempts to get a comment from Bahati police station over the matter were futile as calls went unanswered.
The deceased will be buried on Tuesday next week.
