Vincent Oyugi was believed to have died in a road accident at Ewaso Nyiro in Narok but made a surprise appearance in their Masaba home on January 3, 2017, after the family thought they had buried him.

According to the family, Oyugi did not return home after he left his rented house near Narok to look for a job as a casual labourer in a farm in August.

Oyugi, 29, is believed to have died when a pickup ferrying vegetables to a nearby market veered off the road and plunged into a furrow.

However, on Tuesday January 3,2017, Oyugi surprised the family when he returned home safe and in good health.

After nearly 60 days, family members including his mother Eunice Oyugi received information that he had been involved in accident because he failed to return home.

"We received information that he had died in Narok and immediately started burial arrangements. we picked a body from Narok District and  buried it in December 4, last year," she said.

Elders from Riamakanda village will now be forced slaughter a white cock or goat to cleanse him before he officially joins the family.
