A somber mood has engulfed a family in Kiamaina, Bahati in Nakuru County for one month now after they were unable to bury their loved one due to huge hospital bill at the Coptic Mission hospital Nairobi.
According to the family, the huge bill amounting to 1.7 million shillings has seen the Mission health facility deny them their kin's body.
The family has been conducting vigil prayers at their home in Kiamaina as they wait for well wishers to help off set the bill.
The late Hannah Wairima Manjari succumbed to cancer and the family is now calling on leaders and government to come to their rescue.
Paul Manjari Mwangi, the husband to the deceased, said they have no peace as a family due to the huge medical bill.
