A family in Nyacheki, Kisii County is mourning, after their son was mistakenly attacked with other people suspected to be thieves.
The young man, who works as a bodaboda operator in the area is said to have been picked by men who hired him like normal customers.
It is reported that the men were on a mission to steal, and needed the motorcycle as a getaway means of transport.
The robbery was botched leading to the death of some of the men, with others managing to run for their dear lives.
The villagers have now called on the young men working as bodaboda operators to be careful with the customers they carry, as others are not genuine clients.
Bodabodas have been used for crimes in many areas around Kisii, with reports of thieves escaping on motorcycles, not a new phenomenon.
