The family of Veronicah Muthoni learnt that their daughter had perished through a friend.

Muthoni's father said he had talked to his daughter a day before when she told him she would be attending a Jubilee rally in Narok on Saturday. 

However, a friend who followed the news of the tragic crash on facebook informed the family their daughter was in the ill-fated chopper.

The 22-year-old had graduated from Rift Valley Institute of Science and Technology.

The body of Muthoni is yet to be retrieved.
