On Wednesday evening, a Kenyan nurse was confirmed dead after her body was found in her shop that is located in Essen town, Germany.
From reports, her body was stabbed with a sharp object, creating a visible sharp wound in the chest.
Mary Waithera Kamathi, 27, had talked to her mother, Alice Kamathi two days before.
News of her death hit her mother like a thunder bolt.
Speaking after receiving the devastating news at their home in Kayole estate, Naivasha, the mother said their daughter has been the family's pillar in her 7-year stay in Germany.
“My first born and I are diabetic, and since my husband died seven years ago, we have relied on my daughter, who has been living in Germany for the last eight years,” said the mother.
Tha family can now only ask for justice.
“This is a very painful time for our family and we hope the person behind this beastly incident is arrested and arraigned in court,” said Samuel Njuguna, the decead's brother.
