The family of Samson ole Sisina, the KWS ranger who was allegedly killed by Tom Cholmondeley in 2005 has confirmed that rituals were conducted in a bid to seek justice.
Cholmondeley shot the undercover ranger accusing him of trespassing into his property in Naivasha, but the murder case was dropped by the former AG, Amos Wako.
After efforts to reopen an inquiry into Sisina’s death failed, Maasai elders allegedly visited his grave where they conducted some rituals to curse the killer.
Now that Cholmondeley is dead, the family has renewed efforts to obtain justice for their late kin.
Through the help of lawyer Kitwa Kigen, the family is seeking to stop the late billionaire’s burial until their compensation demands are met.
Speaking to Daily Nation Thursday, the family added that the curse will follow Cholmondeley’s family until ole Sisina’s blood is paid for.
The son of the fifth Lord Delamere, Cholmondley died on Wednesday afternoon at the MP Shah Hospital in Nairobi while receiving treatment.
He had been admitted Tuesday and underwent surgery for a hip replacement.
He died of Cardiac Arrest at 2.15 PM.
"He was admitted on Tuesday as a private patient — that is admitted by visiting doctors — in our facility and he underwent the surgery. He was recovering at the Intensive Care Unit when he developed cardiac arrest and died," a statement from MP Shah Chief Executive Anup Das said Wednesday.
